Michael, Thank you for sharing this piece on Professor Gates. The fact of the matter is that the President was right when he said the police acted "stupidly." He then changed his Constitutional Law Professor robe and became the President of the United States (In the midst of the Health raging Health Care Debate). I ain't mad at him. But, in the eyes of the law, a police officer has no right to "feelings." Professor Gates could have talked about his Mama and would have been within his Constitutional Rights. We lost a teachable moment when Professor Obama had to be President Obama, and America should not be left with the notion that we shed our Free Speech rights when a law enforcement officer tells us to shut up. We do not ....... Johnny Barnes

Look, the bacon capriciously lured Skip outside in an attempt to substantiate a bogus public disturbance arrest because he was pissed he lost a pissing contest to an erudite black Harvard faculty member in an altercation loud enough for all the white neighbors to hear him lose. Skip was consequently hauled in for being extra black in the privacy of his own livingroom.

Had the bacon left upon verifying that there was no crime committed and validating Skip's ID and residency at that address, he'd've saved himself the injurious insult of hearing first hand how most black people feel about intrusive, authority abusing, lying white swine in law enforcement.

Skip needs to drive home a message that will really open up discourse - A HUGE LAW SUIT! That would open up a discourse in the Cambridge PD Internal Affair Department, when this swine's superiors went over that bogus police report, rife with already refuted lies, prior to firing this ig'nunt rascal. The bacon take an oath to serve and protect the community while UPHOLDING THE LAW!!! Part of that job description entails their dealing with folks in the community they may not particularly like under circumstances that are less glamorous than those portrayed on CSI or Law and Order. Our taxes pay their salaries, making them OUR servants! No one owes them deference or a chance to violate our rights and liberties just because they're swine with guns and badges.
