Fauntroy and Frum on Public Radio International's The Tavis Smiley Show

David Frum and I discussed the November 3rd election results on The Tavis Smiley Show on Public Radio International.  The show airs this weekend, so click here to check date and time in your area. Frum thinks the results are potentially emblematic of a trend toward the GOP.  I think it's easy to overstate the results and apply some larger significance to them.  Virginia and New Jersey had significant local dimensions that, in my opinion, help to explain the outcomes.  And for the results being a referendum on President Obama?  Not so much.  In Virginia, for example, 57 percent of voters in exit polls stated that their vote had nothing to do with the President's policies.
